As a part of our USAT sanctioning we must advertise our refund policy on our web site and stick to it. The policy of the race is that refunds and/ or transfers are not allowed. This is always a tough issue for us. We want to be a friendly race, and personally know many of our racers, but we have learned from experience (as have many races) that it does not work to offer refunds or transfers. We are a small race that loses money for the organizers (us) and makes money for a few local charities. This is how we get the 100 or so volunteers you will see on course. As a part of this structure we have set our refund policy so that we: 1) Maximize our charitable funds by ordering exactly what we need 2) Limit our administrative costs by not allowing transfers 3) Keep our race as full as possible by not allowing "options" on entries by people entering even if they are unsure if they will race.
